Some History

"I enjoyed the score of Utopia more than that of any of the previous Savoy operas". Thus said George Bernard Shaw - but then what does he know!

Suffice to say this is one of Gilbert & Sullivan's least well known and not so oft performed operettas. We have only performed it once before, way back in 1957. Hence with our Diamond Jubilee upon us, the Society felt the time was right to perform it again.
