Did You Know

  • Our 78th production and the eigth time we've produced "HMS Pinafore". Unusually this was performed without "Trial By Jury" (for just the second time).

Take a look at our previous productions of "HMS Pinafore".

  • H.M.S. Pinafore; or, The Lass That Loved a Sailor first opened at the Opera Comique in London, on 25 May 1878 and ran for 571 performances, which was the second-longest run of any musical theatre piece up to that time. H.M.S. Pinafore was Gilbert and Sullivan's fourth operatic collaboration and their first international sensation.
  • In Memoriam

With this production, the Society remembered with gratitude, the valuable contributions made to the Society by the late Graham Haller, Kath Whitham and Raymond Firth, all of whom had passed away since the previous show.
